The most recent picture Kate Middleton and Prince William shared of their barefoot family frolicking in nature has truly effected Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the most negative way possible.
According to a well placed source, the reason for this is because there seems to be a hidden rule book at play, one that “has got all the resentment over the double standards bubbling back up” to the surface.
“It’s like there’s one set of rules for William and Kate and another for Meghan and Harry,” the source even explained to Heat World.
“Kate’s just gone and shared this intimate family portrait with the kids’ faces completely on show and shared it with the public, and it’s obviously a way to get positive attention and likes online – and Meghan says if she were to do the same thing, she’d be slammed by the public.”
To the Duchess “It’s beyond unfair and demoralising,” the insider reports “and she’s already dreading facing more of the same scrutiny when she goes to London this summer.”
In her eyes, Kate and William are ‘very clearly’ using the children as part of the royal image and the branding of the family, “yet she’s been criticised and picked apart for even including the smallest glimpse of Archie and Lilibet on her social media,” they say. “And she doesn’t even show their faces, it’s so unfair.”
According to the insider “what really burns is that Meghan is fully convinced Kate plays into this narrative. Meghan has no doubt that the Waleses are still stirring the pot and bad-mouthing her. That’s the main reason why it rankles and affects her so much when she sees what she believes are such blatant double standards.”
Moreover, she is also fully aware with how ‘petty’ she comes across to the world the source admitted, “but that’s easier said than done when she feels so triggered. Regardless of whether she does or doesn’t, the fact is she feels like she’s constantly being judged by a completely different rulebook, and no matter what she does, Kate will be the golden girl and she will be the villain.”
The same insider also added, “People can roll their eyes and tear into her for supposedly living in the past and holding onto grudges all they want, but from Meghan’s point of view, they’re not the ones who’ve had to live with this ongoing scrutiny. She’s still deeply scarred and deeply resentful that they’ve been turned into total pariahs.”
Before concluding they also said, “the fact they’ve never received a thimbleful of contrition, let alone an apology from the Waleses, who are still trying to block them at seemingly every turn and are said to be biding their time before they take away their titles, just makes the situation unforgivable for Meghan
