Just In: Prince William and Kate Middleton hit social media stumbling block

The Prince and Princess of Wales have long remained the most popular members of the British royal family.

However, the future king and queen’s popularity on one particular platform seems to have hit a stumbling block.

The couple had almost 2.9 million followers on X in the last quarter of 2025 and have yet to reach the 3 million mark on the social networking site.

With the couple and their communications team largely relying on Instagram to spread their message, their lackluster interest in engaging people on X is evident from the follower count they’ve achieved over the past year.

The royal family recently made headlines, for all the wrong reasons, when King Charles stripped Andrew, his younger brother, of his royal titles over his links to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The future king and his wife have been known as the Prince and Princess of Wales since the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022.

The couple currently has 2.9 million followers on X, a relatively low number compared to Instagram, where they have more than 17 million followers.

Princess Kate was diagnosed with cancer after Buckingham Palace revealed King Charles III’s diagnosis.

The King continues to perform his royal duties as his treatment continues.
