King Charles led the nation in celebrating the Family of Nations at Westminster Abbey
The monarch was accompanied by Queen Camilla and the Prince and Princess of Wales.
A 2,000-strong congregation attended the important event.
Prince Edward was granted the title of Duke of Edinburgh by King Charles in March 2023.
This touching gesture honoured their late father, Prince Philip.
Buckingham Palace had previously announced Edward would eventually succeed his father as Duke of Edinburgh, but only after the death of both Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II.
The title is not hereditary and will not pass to Edward’s son, James, Earl of Wessex.
Upon Edward’s death, the title will revert to the Crown, as it did following Prince Philip’s passing.
This follows royal tradition for certain titles that return to the monarch’s gift.
