Mike Tindall left furious by Zara and Princess Anne’s request: ‘F*** off’

Mike Tindall has revealed that he has refused a personal request from his wife Zara and mother-in-law Princess Anne to wear traditional Scottish trousers.

The former England rugby star, 46, made the candid admission during a charity event
The proud Yorkshireman married into the Royal Family when he wed King Charles’ niece in 2011 at the modest Canongate Kirk church.

Following the ceremony, they reportedly celebrated at the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Queen Elizabeth II’s official Scottish residence.

He explained to Richard Eden at the Mail: “We got married in Scotland and Zara was schooled in Scotland.

“Obviously, my mother-in-law is patron of Scottish rugby
They keep on that they need to get me a pair of trews. I am, like, ‘F*** off’.

“I have spent my whole life trying to kill a Scotsman. I don’t want to wear their trousers.

Mike was referring to traditional Highland dress trousers, Trews, which are typically lined with leather on the inner leg to prevent wear while horse riding.

Their choice of Scotland for their wedding is believed to be linked to Zara’s fondness for her late grandmother’s Balmoral Estate.

Zara, 43, was educated at Gordonstoun School in Moray, while her mother, Princess Anne, serves as a patron of Scottish rugby.

Despite these connections to the nation, the former England rugby player, who earned 75 caps for his country and won the World Cup, appears to remain steadfast in his refusal.

This isn’t the first time Mike has rejected a royal request from his mother-in-law.
Mike previously admitted to “ignoring” Princess Anne’s suggestion to undergo nose surgery before his wedding to Zara.

The former rugby player had broken his nose multiple times during his sporting career.

Despite initially declining, Mike eventually had his nose fixed prior to attending Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in 2018 as he later revealed it was affecting his breathing during sleep.
