It’s complicated: Prince William ‘won’t be King unless he makes Prince Harry’s…

Prince William’s ascension to the throne could be hindered by his ongoing feud with Prince Harry, according to a Royal commentator. Afua Hagan, speaking on Channel 5’s ‘Harry and Meghan’s American Nightmare’, suggested that the future king may not be able to take the throne while his brother remains “estranged”.
The brothers’ public disagreement began when Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, stepped back from their Royal duties and made shocking allegations against the Royal Family.
Afua said: “I don’t think that there is a way that Prince William can take the throne with his brother being estranged. I think that they will make up. They will have to make up whether they want to or not.”
The tension between the siblings escalated following Harry and Meghan’s criticism of the Royal Family in a Netflix docuseries and Harry’s revealing 2023 memoir, Spare.
In 2021, the Sussexes accused unnamed members of the Royal Family of bullying and racism during an interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Harry also claimed in his book that staff working for William leaked stories about him and Meghan to the media.
In an emotional segment on 60 Minutes Australia, former Royal aide Jason Knauf opened up about the strained relationship between the Royal brothers, remarking: “It’s been hard and sad.
He further commented on the challenges of dealing with such matters in the spotlight, stating: “It’s very difficult to have this stuff play out in the public eye, but he’s [Prince William] chosen to keep his thoughts on it private, and I think all of us who know him really have to respect that we should do the same.”
Knauf also expressed his personal feelings, adding: “But I will say, of course, it’s been hard and sad, especially for all of us who know both of them.”
Yet, according to Marie Claire, there have been recent attempts to make peace, and Princess Kate could be at the forefront of the efforts.
A source additionally told Closer that she can’t “just turn off her feelings with a switch.
They claimed that the Princess of Wales’ recent battle with cancer has only made her “more sensitive and caring”, and there’s a “feeling” that if there’s a chance to mend fences, it will likely be Kate who’s able to do so.
