BREAKING: Tension remains within the Royal Family as Harry and Meghan keep doing one thing that’s ‘frustrating’ William and Catherine
Prince William and Princess Catherine are growing increasingly frustrated by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s continuous public appearances, a source has claimed. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Australia for a four-day private trip earlier this month which reportedly stirred up the ongoing feud within the Royal Family.
A royal source claimed the Prince and Princess of Wales did not take the trip well, associating it with a “quasi royal vibe”. William is said to be frustrated by the ongoing fallout with the issue going beyond the trip itself. It comes after Buckingham Palace confirmed Harry and Meghan would “not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family” back in January 2020.
As reported by US Weekly, a source said: “There is a quasi royal vibe with these trips and it’s confusing. It seems they are trading on old connections in a way that shouldn’t be acceptable because they are no longer working members of the royal family.”
They added: “Every single time William and Kate [Middleton] think they have turned a corner with them, something else pops up. Their media omnipresence is something that has created continued strain.”
According to the source, there “hasn’t been any communication” about a possible reconciliation. They said distance remains between William and Harry, with the former maintaining “firm boundaries” and currently “not pushing for a reunion”.
However, the brothers could be reuinited at a royal wedding in June. Their cousin and the son of Princess Anne, Peter Phillips, is set to marry Harriet Sperling in a private ceremony at All Saints Church in Cirencester.
Although the guest list is yet to be confirmed, Peter has always maintained a close relationship with his cousins and it is likely both the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex will attend. There are concerns within the Royal Family that there could be tension between the brothers.
An insider told Closer: “The royal family are feeling anxious about having the brothers in the same room again. While Harry holds onto hope, William is still furious about his behaviour.”
They added: “There are so many unresolved feelings between them and the family fear that William’s ready to unleash how he feels, which could even lead to an altercation. Part of William is tempted to have it out once and for all. There is a lot that has never been said face-to-face.”
The pair were last together at the funeral of their uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes, in August 2024. However, they sat apart and did not speak.
