Kate Middleton is feeling sentimental as she says goodbye to one of her kids.
According to royal biographer Robert Jobson, the mother of three and Prince William are gearing up to send Prince George to boarding school.
The commentator told Hello! that Kate is in an “emotional time” as the family will have an “empty seat at the table.”
“It’s a chance for him to spread his wings and take part in things in the afternoons and evenings instead of going home to mum and dad,” Jobson said.
“You can’t just pop home when you want to,” the commentator pointed out. “They are such a tight family unit.”
Despite the 12-year-old’s destiny as the future king of England, the Prince and Princess of Wales have ensured he has a normal childhood.
