Prince William ‘anxious’ to please Princess Kate following cancer recovery
Prince William was “anxious” to please Princess Kate following her cancer recovery, a royal commentator has claimed.
William, 42, and Kate, 43, have returned to the UK following a Caribbean family holiday last week, where they enjoyed a luxurious break with their three children.
The Prince and Princess of Wales opted to skip this year’s BAFTAs to spend the half-term school break in the warm destination.
The royal couple were joined by their children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, along with Kate’s mother Carole Middleton.
The family getaway marked a significant moment for the Princess of Wales, who has recently been focusing on spending more time outdoors during her cancer recovery.
The Caribbean break appears particularly well-timed for Princess Kate’s ongoing recovery.
During a visit to Royal Marsden Hospital in January, the Princess revealed she had been prioritising outdoor activities during her cancer treatment.
According to Ingrid Seward, the holiday destination was carefully chosen with Kate’s health in mind.
William was anxious to give Kate some of the sunshine she craved after her cancer illness which put her in the shade for almost a year,” Seward explained.
The Caribbean retreat offered the Wales family exceptional privacy thanks to stringent security measures in place.
Seward continued to tell the Sun’s “Fabulous” section that a no-fly zone is implemented when royalty visits, preventing drones from capturing unauthorised photographs.
The island maintains strict protocols, with journalists and photographers completely banned from accessing the destination.
Kate is paranoid about her children’s privacy which narrows down the choice of holiday spots,” Seward explained to the publication.
The pristine beaches remain largely deserted, with Seward noting they are typically free of sun loungers, offering the family complete seclusion.
The family has previously stayed at Villa Antilles, a luxurious property featuring an infinity pool, private butler and chef.
While maintaining strict privacy, the royal couple’s security detail remains within close proximity at all times.
Out of necessity Kate and William have their bodyguards within running distance from them at all times and of course they become friends and help carry things to the beach,” Seward explained.
The villas are strategically positioned for maximum privacy, with Seward noting: “Most of the very expensive villas are set well out of sight from the road and everything is at hand.”
The secluded island setting provided an ideal environment for the Princess to continue her recovery while enjoying quality family time.
