Hidden meaning behind Kate’s earrings revealed as she gradually returns to…

The Princess of Wales’s earrings appeared to carry a hidden meaning today as she gradually continued her return to royal duties.

Princess Kate, 43, wore £89 jewels from the Welsh brand, Spells of Love.

It seemed particularly fitting that the future Queen wore Welsh jewellery during a trip to Wales.

The brand has described the earrings as the “ultimate hoop for any occasion, a big and bold statement piece that dresses up any outfit.”

Spells of Love is committed to responsible manufacturing and uses recycled materials in its production.

Princess Kate owns two other pieces of jewellery from the brand – the Medium Twist Hoop Earrings in Gold, as well as a Double Strand Satellite Beaded Chain necklace in gold.

During her trip today, the Princess of Wales visited her new patronage, TA Hafan, a children’s hospice based in Sully, near Cardiff.

The hospice supports families in Wales to ensure that children with life-shortening conditions live fulfilling lives.

The patronage was previously held by both King Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales.

During her visit to South Wales, the Princess of Wales highlighted the work of longstanding organisations that prioritise community at their core.

Kate’s focus was on the well-being of children and families, as well as celebrating the excellence of Welsh textile manufacturing.

This involved visiting Corgi – a Welsh textile business that specialises in knitwear and socks.

Kate also tried her hand at sewing, although admitted it was “not [her] forte”.

The mother-of-three joked she was “terrible” at the skill, but did say she likes to repurpose her children’s clothes.
