King Charles leaves Camilla ‘in tears’ with nine-word statement as friends worry about Queen’s…

King Charles has allegedly moved Queen Camilla to tears with a concerning statement during their recent tour to Australia, leaving her “terrified” for his wellbeing. The Royal couple’s visit, which included a successful trip to Samoa for talks with Commonwealth country leaders, has been hailed as a significant boost for the Royal Family’s image.

Despite the Prince of Wales’ ongoing battle with cancer and an upcoming 76th birthday, plans are reportedly in motion for him to fully resume overseas commitments next year. However, the Queen, now 77, appears to be anxious about the strain on Charles.

Allegedly, his remark at the close of the Samoa summit that he “hope(s) that I survive long enough to come back” deeply affected her. It is said that Camilla displayed a mixed emotional response, with laughter and tears.

Friends of Camilla are voicing their concerns over the possibility of the King hastening his return to ordinary official duties despite not having completed his cancer treatments. Although the comment caught the attention of many, palace officials have rejected notions that it was a ‘final farewell’.

At the summit, Charles told those present: “I shall always remain devoted to this part of the world and hope that I survive long enough to come back again and see you”, reports the Scottish Daily Express. Yet, according to one of Camilla’s confidants: “It was a strange thing to say, and I think Camilla had an emotional reaction. Of course it would. She is terrified.”

They said: “They have had a horrendous year. Now with this return to work, she is understandably fearful her husband is rushing it. She just wants him to slow down and prioritize his health.

Camilla spent time alone before their trip to Australia at a private retreat in India, but sources claim she seemed “unsettled” while abroad. It has been previously reported that Charles’s medical team was surprised by claims that 2025 would see a ‘normal’ schedule for the King’s duties.

Despite medical advice, Charles suspended his cancer treatment to fulfil the 11-day Royal tour and has decided not to attend the upcoming Cop29 event in Baku. Insiders suggest that any resumption of full Royal duties will hinge on doctor’s guidance, however, an informant told The Sunday Times: “We’re now working on a pretty normal-looking, full overseas tour program for next year.”
