15 Minutes Ago: Andrew’s daughters Beatrice and Eugenie receives ‘Worst News’ As they’re going to ‘disappear from royal life’ after his arrest
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s 66th birthday today has not gone as he had probably planned. At around 8am on February 19, police arrested the former duke on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
Almost 12 hours later, the former prince was then released by Thames Valley Police under investigation, returning to his temporary home Wood Farm on the Sandringham Estate. In photographs taken of his return, Andrew looks glum and tired, which is probably also how his two daughters feel.
While Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 35, have not commented on their father’s arrest, it is believed the royals will no doubt have been upset about today’s events.
Although the sisters still hold their royal titles, unlike their father, a royal expert now believes that they will “disappear from royal life” after their father’s arrest.
Talking about Beatrice and Eugenie’s royal future following Andrew’s downfall, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams exclusively told The Express that the sisters could lose their charity work as a result of the latest scandals.
Mr Fitzwilliams told The Express: “Beatrice and Eugenie will disappear from royal life. They will probably lose their coveted charitable organisations. They are unlikely to be prominent in the future and would be better off quiet.
Andrew has also faced condemnation over his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, the financier who after his death remains at the centre of a human trafficking scandal.
Andrew has been mentioned in the Epstein files, which has been a cause of embarrassment for the Royal Family.
Being mentioned in the files does not indicate wrongdoing and Andrew has repeatedly and consistently denied any wrongdoing in relation to allegations surrounding his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.
