10 Minutes Ago: Sarah Ferguson is doomed as she triggers new storm in bombshell comeback plot

Sarah Ferguson was dubbed “deluded” by a royal expert who said her “lust for money” is obvious as the former duchess is reportedly plotting her bombshell return to the public eye, following the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. The former Duchess of York has disappeared from the public eye ever since disturbing details about her friendship with the convicted paedophile began to emerge.

Her last public appearance was last December when she attended her granddaughter, Athena Mapelli Mozzi’s christening in London. Fergie, as she is otherwise known, is thought to have fled the UK in order to collect her thoughts and plot a comeback, with various reports suggesting she visited the Alps and the United Arab Emirates.

But a royal expert claimed it will be incredibly difficult for the disgraced former duchess to ever make a comeback and rebuild anything close to the life she once had after the Epstein bombshells.

Royal commentator Jennie Bond told the Mirror: “If it is true that she still thinks she can make some sort of comeback, she is more deluded than I thought possible.

“Her charities have deserted her, her publishers have pulped her latest book, and almost every day brings more revelations about her fawning and prolonged friendship with the convicted paedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.”

Ms Bond noted that Fergie did make some “spectacular comebacks before,” but she said it is highly unlikely that she could make a comeback from the latest fall from grace

She explained: “To think she could come back from this latest disgrace – with her emails calling Epstein a legend and a supreme friend, even …perhaps jokingly…asking him to marry her, suggests she is away with the fairies.”

It comes as new emails in the latest tranche of the Epstein files showed Fergie begging Epstein to employ her as his house assistant while he was still on house arrest.

Epstein was convicted of soliciting prostitution from a minor and soliciting prostitution in 2008 and served 13 months of his 18-month sentence before being released on July 22, 2009. He then spent a year on probation on house arrest until August 2010.

In May 2010, Ms Ferguson can be seen emailing Epstein, telling him: “But why I don’t understand, don’t you just get me to be your House Assistant. I am the most capable and desperately need the money. Please Jeffrey think about it.

Being mentioned in the Epstein files does not indicate wrongdoing.

Ms Ferguson’s representatives have been contacted for comment.
