However, since December 25, some people have taken to social media to say that the princess looked as if she didn’t enjoy the walkabout and was simply making herself do it. This prompted one royal fan, who was at Sandringham, to defend Kate, claiming that she was “geniunely happy” and spent around 40 minutes engaging with the public.

The fan wrote on X: “She’s been so brave. Her voice may have wavered at first, but from the moment she got out of church, she went to meet all the people there. She was there, supported by those who loved her. She spent about 40 minutes with us, when it was really cold. She took time to listen and talk to everyone who had come to see her.

“While other members of the Royal family had sped down the path, she stood there, allowed them all to outstrip her. Her husband had to call a security member to tell her to hurry.

As reported by The Mirror, Harry gifted his grandmother a singing fish, which the late Queen apparently loved so much that she decided to hang it “proudly in Balmoral”, according to Finding Freedom, a book about Harry and Meghan released in 2020.
