Just In: Beatrice and Eugenie Navigate Difficult Path Following Andrew and Fergie Crisis

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have been put in an “impossible” situation following their parents’ recent fall from grace, according to a royal commentator. The two Princesses have been navigating a challenging couple of months, after their uncle, King Charles, took the dramatic decision to strip both Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson of their royal titles.

Despite various royal watchers commenting on their daughters’ stance regarding the handling of both their parents, things were put into perspective on Christmas Day, when both Beatrice and Eugenie were seen alongside other members of the Royal Family at Sandringham, while their father spent the day in Windsor.

Now, a royal commentator has weighed in on the situation and spoken about the incredibly difficult positions the sisters have been put in.

Veteran royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News: “Both [princesses] have taken on charities, new charities in the last year, both of them are happily married, with families, with jobs, and both of them have a family.

“The Yorks have always been a close-knit family. That isn’t the case any longer, and with precisely Eugenie, what contact she has with her parents.”

But he added: “It’s impossible for both princesses.

It comes as reports claimed that Eugenie has got “no contact” with her father, with a source telling the Mail on Sunday: “There is no contact at all, nothing. It’s Brooklyn Beckham level – she has completely cut him off.”

Over the Christmas period, a royal commentator claimed that Andrew urged his daughters to spend Christmas at Sandringham with King Charles so they could report back on what he had missed.

The former Duke of York did not attend the Royal Family’s annual Christmas at Sandringham, being forced to stay at Royal Lodge alone. Meanwhile, a friend of the royal sisters revealed whether they speak to their father at all.

They claimed Eugenie will not be estranged from Andrew forever, telling the same outlet: “Andrew’s main concern is that his daughters are not tainted by his difficulties, so he is keeping his distance from them. Bea and Eug feel very sorry for their parents. They are keeping in touch with them and making sure they’re OK.”

The source added: “Both Andrew and Sarah want their daughters to remain part of the Royal Family and were happy for them to spend Christmas in Norfolk.
