Prince Harry and Prince Andrew share a brutal nickname within Royal Family households, a source has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex and the Duke of York are no longer working royals after stepping down from the roles roughly five years ago.
A report in The Times claims that Harry and Andrew are known as “the Dukes of Hazard” by royal courtiers.
It comes as an insider claimed this week that Prince Harry and Prince Andrew will not be stripped of the Counsellor of State positions within the Royal Family.
The Duke of Sussex and the Duke of York are no longer working members of the Royal Family but continue to be Counsellors of State due to being in the next four adults in the Royal Family’s line of succession who are over the age of 21.
The current five are Queen Camilla, Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince Andrew and Princess Beatrice.
With Harry, Andrew and Beatrice not working royals, the monarch asked Parliament to add his siblings Princess Anne and Prince Edward to the list of Counsellors of State as much-needed additions.
A royal insider has shared why the King has decided not to remove Andrew and Harry from the list despite ongoing feuds with both of them.
The source said: “His Majesty does not want to exacerbate family tensions further.”
They added regarding the King: “By nature, he is a unifier, not a divider.”
Friends of the Duke of York have tipped the royal to consider leaving the UK in a similar move to Prince Harry.
One friend told the Daily Beast: “None of us would blame him if he decided to do a Harry and leave.
He can’t do anything here anymore, he can’t leave the house, he can’t do any business.”
Another friend said: “Andrew has a vast array of contacts in the Middle East and could be leading a meaningful life there.
“I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he thought enough was enough after this latest stitch-up by the establishment.”
