Kate Middleton Feels Hurts About William’s Decision on The Heels of Her Cancer Battle

The thing about being a royal is that tradition is the name of the game. And sometimes, that’s a good thing, and sometimes it really, really isn’t. Especially when it comes to keeping families together in situations like the one Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, who has just gone through a battle with cancer, is in right now.

Because the thing is that, According to Mirror, the Prince and Princess of Wales, are now deep into discussions about what will happen to Prince George once his time at preparatory school ends. And from what’s being reported, the two might not see eye to eye.

Instead, according to Royal expert Katie Nicholl, the Princess would like her 11-year-old son to attend a co-ed school in England to be close to her and her siblings. However, her husband, the future King of England has different opinions and would like to stick with tradition when it comes to what Prince George does next. And well, considering the family we’re talking about, we have a feeling tradition might just end up winning out.

According to Nicholl, William would like George to attend Eton, the all-boys boarding school, where both he and his brother, Prince Harry, studied.

But is Prince George going to follow in Prince William’s footsteps at Eton? And how does everyone feel about the possibility?

Will Prince George follow Prince William’s footsteps at Eton?

Kate’s preference is for George to be at a co-education school, so he can be with his siblings, which is what Kate experienced at Marlborough with her sister, Pippa, and brother, James,” Nicholl told the outlet. However, she added, “William has very fond memories of Eton, which has a long history with aristocrats and members of the royal family.”

Meanwhile, George is said to be excited at the prospect of attending his father’s alma matter, even if his mother is reportedly “heartbroken” at the idea.

However, the source indicated the decision had not been made yet, and that tradition could indeed be broken, pointing to the fact that Prince William and Prince Harry did not attend the same school as their father, King Charles. Right now, George attends the same school as his two younger siblings, which has been said to be great for his stability, particularly during the recent hard times the family has gone through, as his mother has been undergoing treatment for cancer.

When Kate was in hospital, George was on the football pitch playing with his friends,” Nicholl also told the Mirror “That sense of normality, of keeping the family going at one of the hardest times they’ve ever gone through, was important.”

The Princess of Wales announced in March that she’d been diagnosed with cancer after undergoing abdominal surgery in January. In September, she confirmed she’d completed chemotherapy and was now cancer-free.
