Zara and Mike break cover just weeks before royal couple leave UK

Zara and Mike Tindall let loose at a London Christmas party just weeks before their planned departure to Australia in January.

The King’s niece and her rugby star husband joined celebrities at The Green Room Experience’s festive bash, embracing the seasonal spirit with playful accessories.

Princess Anne’s daughter, 43, sported oversized orange sunglasses for photo booth shots, while Mike, 46, donned an amusing turkey hat.

The royal couple partied alongside TV presenter Denise van Outen and former England rugby captain Lawrence Dallaglio at the exclusive event.

Zara cut an elegant figure in a black suit paired with a chocolate brown satin shirt, while Mike opted for a smart grey suit and blue shirt.

The festive celebration marks one of their final UK appearances before heading to Australia’s Gold Coast next month.

The couple will join the Magic Millions equestrian carnival in Australia after spending Christmas with the Royal Family at Sandringham.

Speaking to the Australian Financial Review Magazine, Zara expressed her enthusiasm for the Gold Coast event: “Galloping down the beach, on the Gold Coast, is fairly unique.

The mother-of-three revealed their fondness for Australia, stating: “We love the lifestyle and the weather obviously is incredible. It’s just very relaxed. We’ve got a lot of friends out there.”

The Tindalls will travel without their children, as the 10-day event coincides with the start of the school term in January.

Zara, who has been the face of Magic Millions since 2012, will participate in polo, showjumping and a beach race along Surfers Paradise.

At the Christmas bash, Denise van Outen, wearing a white dress and £400 Vivienne Westwood pearl necklace, entertained guests with a rendition of Sweet Caroline.

The TV presenter posed for selfies with both Zara and Mike during the evening’s festivities.

The Green Room Experience, for which Mike serves as an ambassador, is a company specialising in elevating sports events and concerts.
After the celebrations, Denise, 50, made her way home via London’s night tube, sporting a lime-coloured Santa hat emblazoned with The Green Room Experience logo.

The party preceeded Zara’s recent appearance at Cheltenham’s Christmas Meeting on Friday, where she showcased winter fashion in a suede trench coat.

She had also attended the Princess of Wales’s carol concert earlier this month, wearing a deep purple velvet suit at Westminster Abbey.
Zara’s involvement with Magic Millions extends beyond participation, as she serves as patron of the Magic Millions Racing Women initiative.

“I have a big passion for racing, and being involved and getting more women involved in the racing industry was a great initiative for me to get behind,” she explained.

The initiative has achieved significant success, with over 2000 thoroughbreds now registered as all-female owned or leased.
