SAD NEWS: I’m furious and devastated with the way my family is going – David Beckham breaks silence after Brooklyn’s Bombshell post

For the first time since the latest wave of family drama erupted online, David Beckham has spoken out about the emotional toll the situation is taking on him. Following a highly charged post from his eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, Beckham has finally addressed the rift that continues to fracture one of the world’s most famous families.

Brooklyn Beckham has launched an astonishing attack on his “controlling” parents claiming they have been trying to ruin his relationship.

The 26-year-old eldest son of David and Victoria addressed their long-standing feud in a six page statement posted to Instagram on Monday night.

Brooklyn announced he has no wish to reconcile with his family and is “standing up” for himself “for the first time” in his life. While David and Victoria are yet to address the statement, the former said that “children make mistakes” in a conversation about the misuse of social media the following morning at World Economic Forum in Davos.

The former photographer wrote: “For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.”

Brooklyn, who married model and heiress Nicola Peltz, 31, in April 2022, claimed that: “My parents have been trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped.”

He said his mother Victoria had “cancelled making Nicola’s dress” and “hijacked” the first dance at the wedding.

“She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everybody. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life,” he said.

What Brooklyn’s ex said about Victoria Beckham
Kick-Ass star Chloë Grace Moretz dated Brooklyn Beckham from 2014 to 2018, and she had nothing but praise for Victoria.

“She’s an amazing person. I really admire her work ethic and I love her line,” Moretz, who was 17 at the time, said in 2014.

“I think that as a family, they’re awesome people.”

She later added that David and Victoria are “genuinely very good parents”, adding: “That’s what matters most.”

Brooklyn Beckham previously said he ‘couldn’t ask for better parents’
Years before his six-page statement addressing the Beckham family’s feud, Brooklyn Beckham spoke candidly about being seen as a nepo baby.

“I mean, I can’t help how I was born,” Beckham told InStyle in June 2024.

“I couldn’t ask for better parents and I’m just trying to work my ass off and trying to make a name for myself. That’s all I can say, really.”

He continued, “I think what I wanted for so long – especially the last few years – is I really wanted to make a name for myself. I’m always going to have haters and that’s fine, and it’s probably going to get worse.”

Brooklyn Beckham’s dating history
In his lengthy statement, Brooklyn Beckham accused his mom of “inviting women from my past into our lives” in an attempt to ruin his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz.

Before he began dating the heiress in 2019, Beckham dated actor Chloë Grace Moretz on and off from 2014 to 2018.

Beckham has also been romantically linked to women including Summer House star Lexi Wood and singer Madison Beer.

What Cruz Beckham previously said of feud
Last December, Brooklyn Beckham’s brother Cruz claimed that he and his parents, David and Victoria, woke up to find that Brooklyn had blocked them on Instagram.

After reports emerged that David and Victoria had unfollowed their eldest son, Cruz wrote on his Stories: “NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son…”

He then said: “Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I.”
