Breaking News: Brooklyn Beckham has just gone nuclear – what happened at dinner with Harry and Meghan Send Shockwave through the Social Media

Brooklyn Beckham’s social media hand grenade aimed to explode ‘myths’ behind his family’s glossy image – and one royal couple will have anticipated the fallout. Last spring Brooklyn, 26, and wife Nicola Peltz, 31, dined with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – with Harry and Meghan reportedly offering them ‘their support’ over their estrangement from ‘Posh and Becks’.

Who knows what was said, but Brooklyn and Prince Harry would appear on the surface to have a lot in common. Both their fathers are variants of the modern British establishment.

King Charles, albeit far less conventional than his mother Queen Elizabeth II, is ‘the traditional monarch’ – while Sir David is the epitome of a sports star ascending into ‘showbiz royalty’.

The Beckhams have cultivated their royal connections for years, attending Prince William and Kate Middleton’s 2011 wedding and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s 2018 wedding.

Princess Catherine has worn items from Victoria’s fashion line, while in 2024 Sir David was appointed an ambassador for King Charles’s charity, The King’s Foundation – while also presenting at Prince William’s Earthshot Prize awards.

It seems no royal function can be without Posh and Becks to represent ‘the ordinary people’. That was rewarded last November when David became Sir David – with King Charles overseeing the knighthood ceremony himself.

Now look at Brooklyn and Prince Harry.

Harry married a strong-minded US wife in a fairytale wedding and quit the UK for Montecito, in California – before publicly bemoaning the control and restrictions of ‘the Firm’.

Meanwhile Brooklyn’s also married an iron-clad US wife and lives in California – in a £16 million Beverly Hills mansion – after breaking from what he claims is a similarly controlling family dynamic.

It’s spookily similar and you can imagine last year the two couples will have had a hell of a lot to share, compare and talk about.

Harry left Prince William, Catherine, King Charles and Queen Camilla shell-shocked by the explosive and occasionally cruel and vengeful accusations in his autobiography ‘Spare.

As he raked in more than £20m from sales, he branded Queen Camilla a “wicked stepmother” who “left bodies in the street” at the expense of others.

Harry also piled in on his sister-in-law – accusing her of making Meghan cry over flower girl dresses and tried to shift blame for his notorious Nazi fancy dress costume on Catherine and William by claiming they knew in advance what he planned to wear.

Now Brooklyn has dropped his own depth charge on his parents and siblings with his social media post saying he does not want to “reconcile” with his family; that they have attacked him in the press and tried “endlessly to ruin” his relationship with Nicola.

Harry claimed he did not want to stop using his HRH or step back from royal duties, saying it was “not what I wanted.

Meanwhile Brooklyn has alleged his parents had “repeatedly pressured and attempted to bribe me into signing away the rights to my name” – alleging ‘Beckham’ is a brand.

The similarities between the two angry and wounded sons is eerie.

So sitting in the Royal Courts of Justice this week as he starts a legal action against a media publisher, Harry may be reading the Beckham fallout with pride, thinking: “Been there, done that, and one has got the T-shirt.”
