King Charles ‘delighted’ with Kate and William despite Carole Middleton move
King Charles is “delighted” with Princess Kate and Prince William despite their Carole Middleton move, a royal source has claimed.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are understood to be joining the King and Queen for Christmas on the Sandringham Estate after a “brutal” year.
The monarch and the Princess of Wales were both diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, with each temporarily stepping back from public life to undergo treatment.
Royal sources have claimed the King is “delighted” to have the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine and Prince Louis, six, join the Royal Family for Christmas this December.
The insider continued to tell The Mirror: “The King is embracing the Christmas period already and really getting into the spirit.
“Staff who have seen him this week remarked how happy and healthy he was looking.”
Despite the Waleses joining the King at Sandringham this Christmas, it is understood Kate and William, both 42, will be eating their dinner at their private residence Anmer Hall alongside Carole and Michael Middleton.
Royal commentator Emily Andrews claimed: “They prefer the informality of a relaxed lunch at nearby Anmer Hall.
And I understand will do so again this year, with the addition of the Middleton family.”
The King travelled to London briefly on Tuesday to continue his weekly treatment plan as well as presenting credentials to foreign ambassadors and high commissioners at Buckingham Palace.
However, he swiftly returned to Sandringham on Wednesday to carry on with Christmas planning.
King Charles will spend the weekend on the Estate with the Queen before they return to London on Monday.
Their Majesties are understood to be planning to spend New Year’s Eve in Norfolk.
A source close to the King continued to tell The Mirror: “His Majesty has taken great solace in being among nature and enjoying time outdoors throughout his cancer treatment.
“It’s something he believes has helped him incredibly throughout his ordeal.
“He is very much looking forward to spending quality time with as many of his close family as possible.
