William, Prince of Wales, who stuck by a recovering Catherine, Princess of Wales, after her surgery, returned to royal duties on Wednesday, February 7. His Royal Highness’ “packed” new workload comes amid the cancer diagnosis of his father, King Charles III, and has the princess concerned for her spouse.
“Kate is worried about the psychic toll these twin medical battles are having on her husband,” royal author Christopher Andersen told an outlet.
William is terribly concerned about Kate’s condition — we still don’t know what her abdominal surgery was for or why her recovery is taking months — and now he has to face the fact that his father has cancer,” the author continued. “William has always made it clear that he wanted a full-fledged family life, and when Kate became incapacitated, he stepped in to play hands-on dad. He cut back on his schedule to drive the kids to school, the whole nine yards.”
Andersen added: “Now he has resumed his royal duties much sooner than perhaps he would have liked. But there are times when duty trumps family life, and, after all, William is the future king.”

Many feel that the future monarch is currently anchoring the royal family, and now that he has settled into his leadership role, he is “furious” with Prince Harry for using their father’s gravely serious medical condition for publicity.
Veteran royal author Ingrid Seward dished on how the Prince of Wales finds the Duke of Sussex’s in-and-out trip to visit sickly King Charles III to be a “PR stunt.”
“William would be upset that Harry yet again has chosen to make this visit to see his father a PR opportunity,” Seward added. “As far as William is concerned, he has absolutely no interest in speaking to Harry until Harry behaves like a gentleman and apologizes for the years of rudeness and slurs he has aimed at William and the Princess of Wales.”
The scribe further revealed how the future king “must be privately furious” at his younger brother for using their ill father as “an opportunity to announce his arrival and expect to see” the heir to the throne.
