BREAKING: Fans Get Obsessed as Lewis Hamilton Welcomes a New Member to His Family—His Name Is Puppy Halo
Lewis Hamilton has a new dog, and she’s already got a name that feels very on-brand for a seven-time Formula 1 world champion. A golden retriever puppy named Halo has officially made her way to Los Angeles after Maine-based breeder Goldiva Goldens announced on Instagram that they were sending her west – straight to Hamilton’s front door.
“We’re excited to fly Ms Halo to Los Angeles to Formula 1 Ferrari driver @lewishamilton!!” the breeder posted, confirming what fans had been quietly hoping ever since Hamilton shared photos of himself buried in a pile of fluffy puppies back in January.
Hamilton’s Dogs Have Always Been Part of His Story
Anyone who followed Hamilton through his dominant Mercedes years knows that Roscoe, his English bulldog, was practically a fixture of the paddock. The dog was 12 years old when he passed away in September 2025, after a battle with pneumonia that Hamilton kept his followers closely updated on.
“After four days on life support, fighting with every bit of strength he had, I had to make the hardest decision of my life and say goodbye to Roscoe,” Hamilton wrote at the time. Before Roscoe, there was Coco, a rescued English bulldog he took in during 2014 when she was facing euthanasia due to poor health. She died in his arms six years later.
Unlike Hamilton’s previous bulldogs, Halo is a golden retriever sourced from Goldiva Goldens, a Portland, Maine breeder that raises its puppies in a home environment with a focus on family socialization over traditional kennel upbringing. The breeder holds a Top 10 ranking in the US and has had multiple dogs ranked nationally in recent years, so Hamilton didn’t exactly settle when choosing a breeder.
The timing makes sense on every level. Hamilton relocated to Los Angeles, is now competing for Ferrari in the 2026 season, and his relationship with Kim Kardashian has been moving at a steady pace since the two were photographed together at Super Bowl LX in February. In May, the couple brought their families together for a dinner at Nobu Malibu – kids, mothers, the whole extended picture. A golden retriever puppy fits neatly into that scene. It looks as though Kardashian may have already met Halo
Either way, Halo is in Los Angeles, Hamilton has a dog again, and the F1 paddock’s most famous canine legacy continues. Just with considerably more fur this time.
