This Is Very Huge: New Details of Andy Murray and Kim Murray’s Cromlix House Hotel Refurb Revealed

Big news is brewing in Scotland’s hospitality scene, and it’s got fans of both tennis and luxury travel buzzing. Fresh details have emerged about the next phase of renovations at Cromlix House Hotel, the elegant country retreat owned by Andy and Kim Murray—and the plans sound nothing short of ambitious.

New details of Andy and Kim Murray’s Cromlix Hotel redevelopment have been revealed.

The five-star hotel closed in January as work began on two new restaurants, a wellness retreat and three bedroom suites.

Cromlix has confirmed the names of the dining spaces – Cradle and The Garden Room.

Cradle will focus on fine-dining and will provide a “deeply intimate experience” for 16 guests.

It will be run by chef James Mearing and his team, who will work with what the estate offers from the gardens and woodland around the hotel.

The larger and main Cromlix restaurant, The Garden Room, will have space for up to 65 diners.

It will be located in a new glass-fronted building and will overlook the main lawn of the hotel.

Dishes will be focused on Scottish produce, with reimagined classics, smaller plates, food for sharing and “flavoursome” grills on the menu.

The existing restaurant at Cromlix, The Glasshouse, will become an afternoon tea space.

It will also be open for a range of events, such as weddings.

In addition, the former billiards room will be converted to The Library and will also serve as an event room for up to 18 people.

Cromlix Hotel ‘thrilled’ to be entering new phase
Barry Makin, general manager of the Cromlix Hotel, said: “Since our 2023 reopening, we’ve been really fortunate to see incredibly high demand for dining at Cromlix, largely driven by our local community.

“To meet this enthusiasm, we’ve been planning new dining spaces that will offer exceptional cuisine to those that live in the Stirlingshire area and beyond and more varied options for our overnight guests.

“We are thrilled to enter this next phase and look forward to welcoming everyone back to Cromlix in mid-May.”

In January, plans were put forward to improve access for buses and large vehicles at Cromlix.
