New Tragedy for Andrew as Royal fans issue damning verdict on his future within the Firm
An overwhelming majority of royal fans have agreed that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor should be removed from the Line of Succession, according to a poll conducted by the Daily Express.
Despite having lost his royal titles, his honours and, most recently, his 30-room mansion in Windsor, Andrew still remains eighth in line to the throne. The 65-year-old falls behind Prince William and his three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, who are first, second, third and fourth in line.
Also no longer a working member of the Royal Family, Prince Harry remains in fifth place behind his niece and nephews.
Harry’s two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, are currently sixth and seventh in line to the throne.
In a poll, which ran between 10am on February 9 and 10.30am on February 11, fans were asked if they believe Andrew should be removed from his position in the line of succession.
Of the 3,086 people who voted, a staggering 95 percent [2,940 people] voted that he should be removed due to his involvement in the Epstein scandal.
In contrast, four percent [118 people] shared that they don’t think he should be removed, with an additonal one percent [28 people] voting that they aren’t sure whether he should be removed or not
Taking to the comment section, one fan said: “Regarding Andrew it would certainly be the best thing to do..
A second agreed, adding: “Of course”.
A third added: “Since titles were removed, it should have automatically taken him out of [line of succession]. Why would he be kept there if he is not considered a royal anymore?”
