“Your Dream Won’t Be Shattered” — Victoria Beckham Makes Shocking Claims About Why She Refused to Let Harper Be Dragged Into Brooklyn’s Drama

Victoria Beckham has always been fiercely protective of her family, but new claims suggest she’s drawn an especially firm line when it comes to her youngest daughter, Harper—and the ongoing tension surrounding Brooklyn Beckham.
In what sources describe as a deeply emotional and personal stance, Victoria is said to have made it clear that she does not want Harper pulled into the family drama that has been making headlines. And according to those close to the family, her reason is simple and powerful: she doesn’t want Harper’s dreams, confidence, or childhood overshadowed by conflict she had no part in creating.

She was always destined to follow in her mum Victoria Beckham’s footsteps – and recent reports have claimed that Harper Beckham is working hard to become ‘the next Kylie Jenner’ and launch her own beauty and skincare brand. But heat can reveal the 14-year-old’s plans have been put on hold, after big brother Brooklyn unleashed his attack on Victoria and David, accusing them of putting Brand Beckham before the family. An insider tells us that Vic, 51, is doing everything she can to make sure the feud with Brooklyn, 26, doesn’t destroy her daughter’s dreams.

‘Harper has been being soft launched as the new face of the Beckham empire for years’, says our source. ‘Vic has been in talks about doing a teen skincare, beauty and lifestyle brand launch with Sephora. The plan was for it to hit stores next year. Harper has definitely inherited the entrepreneurial genes from her parents and for the last few years, she been going to events with Vic and pitching in with social media ideas – she’s even sat in on business meetings and got advice from [Vogue editor-in-chief] Anna Wintour. However, all the plans for her own brand are now on ice while the Beckhams navigate this epic escalation of the Brooklyn situation.

The source continues, ‘Both David and Vic are worried that both Harper and Brand Beckham will be in the firing line if they attempt to launch a range with her as the face any time soon. They worry it could open her up to an onslaught of hate that would be too much for her. They’re not trying to wreck Harper’s dreams, but they thinks it’s best to hit pause.

In 2024, Harper revealed her dream was to ‘create an amazing brand when I’m older’ – she has also said her famous mum showed her ‘the value of working hard’. The teen – who got her own Instagram account last September, although it’s still private – has made many social media tutorials to promote Victoria Beckham Beauty products on her mum’s page.

In October, it was reported that the proposed name Hiku By Harper was filed under two trademark applications by H7B Limited, the business Victoria and David, 50, registered for their youngest child. But all this is now on hold until the drama surrounding Brooklyn has died down.

The family feud – which is said to have begun during the planning of Brooklyn’s 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz – went nuclear last month after he released a sensational statement in which he made many damning claims, including the accusation that ‘Brand Beckham comes first’ and ‘my family values public promotion and endorsements above all else’. He also wrote, ‘Performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.’

Despite Brooklyn’s statement no doubt having had a hugely negative effect on the whole family, Victoria put on a brave face in Paris last week when she accepted the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters, with Harper later saying her mum was her ‘biggest role model’.

And though we’re told Harper – who was once extremely close with Brooklyn and his wife Nicola, 31 – is ‘upset’ by her eldest brother’s accusations, she and her siblings are rising above it. Our insider says, ‘Cruz and Romeo joke that Brooklyn was such a hazard to himself he needed controlling, and say that all anyone needs to do is look at the other kids to know that the Beckhams are great parents.’

Indeed, the youngest three children are all working hard to achieve their dreams, with critics praising 20-year-old Cruz’s ‘promising’ music career, and footballer-turned model Romeo, 23, getting ready to launch his street and activewear brand, Intra.

We’re told, ‘The plan has always been for Harper to go to an Ivy League college in the US – her parents can see her getting an MBA from Harvard Business School – and she’ll be the one who grows Brand Beckham into a proper empire. The recent drama is upsetting and frustrating for David and Victoria, but they won’t let Harper be dragged into it – they’re doing what’s best for her in the long-term.’
