Much like Prince William, Princess Catherine is thought to no longer be on speaking terms with Prince Harry. Having once shared a very close bond, the 41-year-old previously referred to his sister-in-law as the “sister I’ve never had and always wanted”.
Prior to Harry’s decision to step down as a senior working royal, the pair were pictured engaging in sweet public moments showcasing their close friendship. Harry even previously referred to her as “fantastic” in his bombshell memoir, titled Spare.
According to one expert, speaking almost six years after Harry’s exit from royal duties, there is one major reason behind Catherine’s decision to have nothing to do with her brother-in-law.
Sharing in her latest article about the Princess of Wales for The Times, senior royal writer Kate Mansey shared that the royal’s cancer journey has made her realise that she doesn’t want to get “hung up” on the drama surrounding the Sussexes.
She wrote: “Prince Harry is not in contact with William. After repeatedly taking aim at his brother and sister-in-law, it’s hardly surprising that William and Kate would rather focus on raising their own family.
“If Kate has learnt anything from her cancer ordeal… she’ll know that life’s far too short to get hung up on Harry”
In his memoir, which was first released in January 2023, Harry shared his first impressions of Catherine.
William met Catherine at St Andrews University in the early 2000s, with the pair splitting once in 2007 before rekindling their relationship just months later.
Harry wrote in Spare: “I liked his new girlfriend. She was carefree, sweet, kind.
“She’d done a gap year in Florence, knew about photography, art. And clothes. She loved clothes.
