Just In: Queen Camilla’s reason for wanting to hide the truth about King Charles’ cancer leaks

King Charles’ cancer diagnosis is said to have hit wife the hardest, with overwhelming fears about his privacy quickly having followed suit.

Now, a report by The Times reveals that the Queen never wanted her husband to reveal his diagnosis, initially.

While similar sentiments were held by aides and courtiers alike, according to Express, the real reason for the Queen’s hesitation has finally been dropped in the outlet’s report.

According to it, the Queen feared public scrutiny most of all and the report adds, “it can now be revealed that when the King learnt he had cancer nearly two years ago, his wife initially believed his diagnosis should remain private, as she feared the toll public scrutiny of his health might take on his recovery.”

Also, her “hesitancy stemmed from a concern for her husband’s privacy, fearing that ‘once the door on it had been opened, it could never be closed’.”

However, it is said she is now ‘glad’ about his decision.

What is pertinent to mention is that the type of cancer that King Charles has been battling, has never been made public, however he has given yearly visits since then, the most recent announcing that he will be able to make his treatments less frequent in the coming year.
