HOT NEWS: Sarah Ferguson in flood of Tears As She ‘escape hostile England’ after crunch talks failed

Friends of Sarah Ferguson claim she is planning to relocate to Portugal in January, with accommodation being arranged at her daughter Princess Eugenie’s coastal property.

The former duchess will reportedly stay at the £3.6million villa owned by the princess and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, at the exclusive Costa Terra Golf and Ocean Club.

Sources indicate a guest suite is currently being readied for Fergie’s arrival at the oceanfront residence in Melides, located 82 miles south of Lisbon.

The move follows mounting pressure from the aftermath of the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, which resulted in Fergie losing multiple professional positions and facing eviction from Royal Lodge in Windsor, where she had resided with her former husband for 17 years.

A wealthy resident of the gated community told the Express: “The word here is that Fergie will be arriving sometime in January.

“How long she’ll stay is anyone’s guess, but if it’s a long-term move, I can guarantee she’ll fit well into the social scene.

Scores of celebrities and Hollywood stars have been snapping up properties in the area.”

The luxury resort where Mr Brooksbank works features championship golf facilities and spa amenities.

Princess Eugenie and her husband acquired the property in May 2022, splitting their time between Portugal and Ivy Cottage at Kensington Palace.

The couple’s two young sons, August, aged four, and Ernest, aged two, regularly stay at both residences.

Fergie’s professional life has collapsed following revelations about her connections to the convicted sex offender.

She has been removed from her position as ambassador for the British Heart Foundation and lost her regular appearances on ITV’s Loose Women programme.

The crisis deepened after a leaked email emerged in which she described Jeffrey Epstein as a “supreme friend”.

Reports indicate she has engaged a “brand rescue team” in attempts to salvage her career prospects.

Her housing situation appears equally precarious, with the 66-year-old expected to vacate Royal Lodge early next year.

While her ex-husband will move to a property on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, no similar arrangements have been extended to Sarah.

The Portuguese resort has attracted numerous high-profile residents, including Madonna, Scarlett Johansson, and Alicia Vikander with her husband, Michael Fassbender.

Nicole Kidman has recently applied for Portuguese residency following her separation from Keith Urban.

Former NBC executive Ted Harbert, who lives locally, compared the Atlantic coastal region to “the Hamptons of Europe”, praising the area’s friendly residents and natural beauty.

Property developer Michael Meldman’s Discovery Land Company, which owns Costa Terra, has announced expansion plans for the resort.

Both Princess Beatrice, 37, and Princess Eugenie, 35, are reportedly supporting their mother’s potential relocation.

An American visitor to Costa Terra commented: “It’s a perfect place for Fergie to hide out while the Epstein affair continues to rumble on.

“She will be among family and friends and well away from the hostile atmosphere she’s facing in England.
