Just In: Princess Kate ‘reconnects’ family as Palace confirms carol service details

Princess Kate is undeterred in her efforts to make holiday season special for the royal family as she confirms exciting news.
Kensington Palace announced that the Princess of Wales will be hosting her annual Together at Christmas Carol Service at Westminster Abbey for a fifth year in a row.
It has been a rough year for the royals with a back and forth between reunions and rifts. While King Charles finally broke the ice with his son Prince Harry, Prince William remained estranged from his only sibling.
Moreover, the royals also finally ousted the disgraced Andrew and Sarah Ferguson after years of humiliation. Hence, Kate is making doing her best to finally close the bitter chapter.
In the spirit of unity and celebrating “love in all its forms”, the future Queen had extended invites to some special guests for the much-anticipated event of the year in the royal calendar. Kate Winslet, Hannah Waddingham, Dan Smith and Chiwetel Ejiofor will be involved with the joyous occasion.
The office of the Prince and Princess of Wales released a statement about the theme of the service, which aims to “bring people together” for the festive season through powerful moments from “love within families, through friendships, across communities” and even connection with strangers.
“In a world that can often feel fragmented and disconnected, love is the force that reconnects us all – spanning generations, communities, cultures and faiths,” the statement said.
The event will be held on Friday December 5, with 1,600 guests invited to watch the choir and the readings from the celebrities.
Apart from the choir service and the celebrity readings, the floor will be opened to some notable guests to share their stories.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle invited to Christmas Carol Service in 2025?
There are no confirmed reports that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will make an appearance.
Although, the As Ever founder has a few plans of her own since a Holiday special edition of her cookery show will be premiering on Netflix. In the past year, Harry and Meghan have celebrated Christmas intimate gathering.
Even though there has been progress made towards a reconcilation, it is unlikely that the Sussexes would be welcomed to the royal fold so soon.
