Just In: Andrew’s fall from grace continues as he loses titles, honours, peerage, royal lodge

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor might be crying in silence while going through his life’s biggest nightmare that brought his unruly Kingdom crashing to earth.

The former Duke has received a fresh blow from King Charles in a bomshell announcement after losing his titles, honours and other perks as his fall from the grace continues.

The former prince has also been ordered to leave his beloved royal residence on the Windsor Estate, Royal Lodge.

In the latest announcment, Buckhingham Palace confirmed that Fergie’s ex-husband has also been struck from the official roll of the peerage.

What is the role of peerage – what does it mean?
The peerage serves as a system of titles for nobility and a body of influential individuals, but it has a limited, symbolic role within the modern royal family

That is the process by which he will no longer be Duke of York, as the dukedom is a peerage.

Andrew voluntarily gave up his Duke of York title earlier this month but until Thursday he still went by his prince title. Now, the King has expidited a formal process to remove Andrew’s ‘style, titles and honours’.

There had also been calls from MPs for Parliament to provide legislation to strip Andrew of the title. But it’s now been taken away by the British King, who sent a Royal Warrant to the Lord Chancellor to take Andrew off the list of peers.

The constitutional processes is said to be taking place to carry out last night’s dramatic announcement from the King’s office.

Where Will Andrew go after leaving Royal Lodge?
Andrew has lived at Royal Lodge since 2004, when the former Duke and his duaghters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie moved there from nearby Sunninghill Park. Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, welcomed to the mension in 2008.

The main building stands three stories, with a pair of two-story wings, and has about 30 rooms, including seven bedrooms. The grounds also include the Royal Chapel of All Saints, built in the 1820s.

After vacating his beloved property, Andrew will be moving to a house on the private Sandringham estate in Norfol, where the Windsors have often celebrated Christmas in recent years, as privately funded by King Charles.

However, Fergie, who will also be compelled to move out of Royal Lodge, is responsible for finding her own new living arrangements.

How Giuffre’s family reacted to the Decison?
Giuffre’s family said she ‘brought down a British prince with her truth and extraordinary courage.’ Andrew’s accuser took her own life earlier this year, but her Posthumous Memoir, published after her sudden death, caused trouble in the former prince’s world.
