Harry, who treats the Invictus Games members as his family, must have been “heartbroken” as his spokesperson lauded Steve’s “strength, courage, and incredible spirit” in a new update.

Steve, who represented Team US at the 2025 Invictus Games, won the silver medal alongside his teammates in wheelchair basketball.

At the end of a sad note, the Invictus Games US community sent warm wishes to the family and loved ones of Steve.

The late athlete “inspired us all, and his legacy will continue to live on through this community. Rest in peace, Steve.”

For the unversed, Prince Harry founded the Invictus Games in 2014 with an aim to support and work for the betterment of wounded, injured and sick military service personnel, both serving and veterans.

The former working royal is gearing up to bring back his passion project to his homeland, the UK, in 2027. The Invictus Games Birmingham will be held in July.

There are whispers about King Charles and some other senior royal figures’ attendance at the meaningful sports event, especially after Harry meets with his father at Clarence House.
