How Princess Kate’s family influenced decision to move with Prince William
Kate Middleton’s family played a key part in her choice of residence as she prepares to move.
Prince William and Princess Kate are preparing for a major move as they plan to leave Adelaide Cottage and settle into Forest Lodge, an eight-bedroom home in Windsor. The couple, along with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are said to view this as their “forever home,” as reported by The Sun.
But royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk that Kate’s close bond with her parents and siblings played a key role in the decision.
“The move makes perfect sense as Princess Kate’s parents and siblings live nearby and they are a very close-knit family,” he explained. Their children’s schooling was also a factor, with Lambrook close to home and Eton “a strong possibility” for George next year.
Fitzwilliams added that Windsor offers both privacy and security, along with easy access to the countryside that the family loves. “Forest Lodge, with eight bedrooms and nearby cottages where staff can live, seems ideal,” he said.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are reportedly considering staying at Forest Lodge indefinitely, even after William becomes King.
