“They’re No Longer Part of My Life Again” — Brooklyn Beckham’s Latest Move Is ‘Utterly Devastating’ for Dad David Beckham

Fresh tensions appear to be rippling through one of the world’s most famous families as Brooklyn Beckham’s latest move has reportedly left his father, David Beckham, heartbroken and struggling to come to terms with the growing distance between them.

Brooklyn Beckham, who last month lashed out at parents Sir David and Lady Victoria Beckham in a scathing statement, appears keen to erase his family from his life.

Photographs show the 26-year-old wannabe chef appears to have taken steps to erase the inking, a tribute to his once-beloved father. Brooklyn has reportedly had laser treatment on the words “dad” and “Love you Bust,” short for Buster, the nickname his father gave him as a boy and one that Sir David also has emblazoned on his neck, done in 2015 as a tribute to his firstborn.

So, Brooklyn’s fresh slight is understood to be of serious significance for both he and his father, the former England footballer. A friend of the family said: “Brooklyn wanted tattoos like his dad since he was a little boy. Each time David had a new one Brooklyn would be in awe, he wanted to copy him.

Writing for the Daily Mail, journalist Katie Hind said: “For David, 50, Brooklyn’s latest slight will be utterly devastating.” She referred to Brooklyn’s previous instances of covering up tattoos, including the “mama’s boy” chest inking dedicated to his mother Victoria – a nod to the 1997 Spice Girls hit Mama.

But Sir David, who played more than 200 times for Manchester United, had even insisted on being present for Brooklyn’s first tattoo, demanding he cancelled plans to get one without him. The friend continued: “David looked forward to Brooklyn’s first visit to a tattoo parlour. That almost didn’t happen, because during a trip to Paris with an ex-girlfriend he almost got one done.

“David found out in the nick of time and called him to say that he wanted to be there for his first inking. So Brooklyn cancelled and they went a few weeks later.

It is the latest development in the family fallout, weeks after Brooklyn, a model, lashed out at his parents in a scathing statement. According to sources, the young man continues to experience “hurt and pain” amid the tensions. One insider this week told The Sun: “There is so much hurt and pain on his side, it would not be genuine to keep such a tribute on his body.”

Brooklyn’s father-in-law broke his silence on the family feud this week. Nelson Peltz said: “My daughter and the Beckhams are a whole other story and that’s not for coverage here today. But I’ll tell you my daughter is great, my son-in-law Brooklyn is great and I look forward to them having a long, happy marriage together.”

And the father of ten, born in New York City, was also asked if he gave the couple advice in how to navigate a difficult situation. He replied: “I do. Sometimes they give me advice.”
