Just In: King Charles Trump meeting spark fears as Palace receives distressing update
King Charles, who is currently in Scotland to attend an important royal engagement, is now growing concerned as a crucial upcoming state visit has sparked tensions.
The U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to arrive at Windsor Castle in September for an unprecedented State Visit, pushed by the U.K. government.
The Palace had already been sceptical about the whole ordeal, but now their strategic plans are hit with a major setback following the new statement from the political figure.
Upon his arrival in Scotland on Friday, Trump proclaimed that “horrible invasion” of migrants was “killing Europe”. The monarch and the Palace were already worried about the “51st state” remarks for Canada, and now they are anxious about what would Trump say next.
According to a report by The Daily Beast, the Palace is genuinely afraid that the U.S. President will use the state visit to make even more inflammatory remarks, which could trigger riots across the nation.
“Charles has spent his entire life promoting tolerance and compassion,” a friend of the King told the outlet.
“He will be appalled by what Trump said on Friday, which seems to be entirely driven by his domestic agenda, and will be very concerned about the possibility of a repeat of Trump’s outburst in September.”
A royal source had previously revealed that the Palace had set this particular date for the visit since the Parliament will be on a break for the brief period. This would minimise the heat from public for any further statements.
Although that plans seems to be failing already given the kind of attention the Scotland visit has gotten. It remains to be seen how the Palace manages to keep matters contained in September.
