Kensington Palace shares delightful news about Kate Middleton ahead of State Banquet

Kensington Palace has confirmed Princess Kate’s attendance at the State Banquet honouring France’s President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron.

The Princess of Wales played key role in welcoming the Macrons to the UK, joining Prince William to greet them at RAF Northolt. She left fans spellbound with her appearance in a Dior outfit, which was seen as a calculated diplomatic gesture.

The future queen will wear a tiara and formal evening gown for the first time since 2023 during her first State Banquet since cancer journey.

President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte will be guests of honour at the first State Banquet held at Windsor Castle since 2014, due to ongoing reservicing work at Buckingham Palace.

In their latest Instagram message, The Prince and Princess of Wales wrote: “A pleasure to welcome Président @emmanuelmacron and Mrs. Macron to Windsor today.”

A specially decorated 50-meter table runs the full length of the medieval hall, and will sit around 160 guests.

The last State Banquet she attended was at Buckingham Palace in November of that year, honouring Yoon Suk Yeol of South Korea.

In November 2022, the Princess attended the State Banquet honouring South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, where she wore a Jenny Packham gown and Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot Tiara – an item once worn by her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

Last month, she unexpectedly pulled out of an appearance at Royal Ascot, just minutes before she was due to take part in the Royal Procession.
