Shocking News: Queen Camilla’s son reveals surprising Bombshell with connection to Meghan Markle’s past
Queen Camilla’s eldest son and Meghan Markle likely crossed paths long before the Duchess of Sussex became a part of the royal family.
On the latest episode of the White Wine Question Time podcast, Tom Parker-Bowles spoke about his early career in film PR, a brief but stint that placed him alongside rising stars of the ’90s. That was just before Meghan started to build her own name in Hollywood.
“I worked for a wonderful film PR company called DDA,” Tom told host Kate Thornton, according to the Daily Mail.
“They used to run Cannes and you’d be looking after talent. So you’d be taking Alicia Silverstone round London in the ’90s or Anna Friel or whatever,” he added.
But while Meghan eventually found her breakout role in Suits, Tom — who is both stepson and godchild of King Charles III — didn’t last long in the industry.
“I was always late. I got sacked,” he admitted.
After that setback, he eventually found his footing as a food critic and author. Now a published writer with nine cookbooks to his name, Tom, 50, contributes regularly to Mail on Sunday and Country Life.
Tom credited his work ethic to his parents: Camilla and Andrew Parker Bowles, who divorced in 1995. Since they never set up a trust fund for him, he didn’t have a financial safety net and had to carve his own path.
“Sadly, no trust fund. You know, actually, it’s a good thing not having a trust fund. I’d probably be dead if I’d had one,” Tom reflected, adding “You have to work. It’s important.”
As for Meghan, she’s since left both the Hollywood life and the royal life behind since marrying Prince Harry in 2017 and stepping down from royal duties in 2020.
