King Charles and Carole Middleton’s rarely highlighted connection was evident at Royal Ascot on Wednesday.

Princess Kate’s mother and Prince William’s father were seen enjoying friendly interaction during the prestigious occasion.

Carole looked spectacular as she arrived at the event just moments before Kensington Palace revealed that the Prince of Wales would not be attending the event as planned.

The abrupt change surprised many attendees, as Prince William was also scheduled to present race prizes later in the day during the prestigious gathering. Carole appeared in high spirits as she was spotted alongside her daughter in law Alizee Thevenet, the wife of Kate’s brother, James Middleton.

Meanwhile, Princess Kate’s unexpected absence from the Royal Procession on the second day of Ascot was clarified by royal sources, who revealed that it resulted from an ‘administrative’ oversight rather than any ‘health-related matter,’ reported GB News.

The confusion arose when Ascot officials mistakenly released an early version of the procession list at midday, which included both the Prince and Princess of Wales in the second carriage behind the King and Queen.

The organisers later admitted that the earlier version had been ‘incorrectly released.’

To note, Princess Kate have had made two important public appearances in recent days-attending Trooping the Colour on Saturday and the Order of the Garter ceremony at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on Monday.
