SAD NEWS: Prince Harry heartbroken as he takes drastic action to cut ties with Royal family – His Uncle rushes to stop royal from making reckless decision
Prince Harry, who announced that he was open to reconcile with his estranged family, is willing to take drastic measures to end all ties to the royals.
The Duke of Sussex’s relationship with his cancer-stricken father, King Charles, worsened in the past couple of weeks after the “devastating” verdict on his security appeal.
However, Harry continues to have a good relation with his mother, Princess Diana’s side of the family.
Now sources have revealed that Harry reached out to his uncle, Charles Spencer, as he mulled over a shocking decision which will end all his connection to the royal family.
King Charles’s younger son had been exploring ways to take his mother’s family name ‘Spencer’ and ditch ‘Mountbatten-Windsor’, a friend of Harry told MailOnline. Harry’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, also use Mountbatten-Windsor as their last name.
Harry discussed the matter with his uncle Charles Spencer during a rare visit to UK. However, he was advised against it and the legal hurdles were “insurmountable”.
The pal revealed, “They had a very amicable conversation and Spencer advised him against taking such a step.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex gave up their senior royal positions in 2020 when they left the Firm to settle in the US. While they still retain the HRH titles, which Harry has had since birth, but are not supposed to use them for commercial purposes.
King Charles holds meeting as Prince William admits to miss brother Harry
Princess Diana’s brother seemed to have calmed the situation at the time as the move would have been deeply hurtful to King Charles, who reportedly cherishes the Mountbatten name just as his father did.
While there is still ongoing speculation about the slimmest chance of a reconciliation between the father-son, it would have ruined that too.
