SAD NEWS: Queen Camilla burst into Tears as she releases emotional statement as King Charles resumes his cancer treatment

Buckingham Palace released an emotional message penned by Queen Camilla as King Charles resumed his cancer treatment after returning from Canada.

The Queen marked a sombre event Operation Dynamo’s 85th anniversary, remembering the “great evacuation” of innocent lives during the Second World War.

Camilla’s statement shared on the royal family’s official Instagram page reads, “Today and together with the nation, The King and I would like to remember the heroic and unprecedented civilian war effort of Operation Dynamo on its 85th Anniversary.”

Over nine days, an eclectic collection of seafarers, ferry masters, barge hands, fishermen, and children, with their Little Ships, achieved the great evacuation of more than 338,000 troops who were fighting with their backs to the sea at Dunkirk.”

Notably, Queen Camilla mentioned a sad memory associated with her father, who was amongst those survivors as he was safely transported home 85 years ago today.

The royal stated that her father recalled “wading out to a cement ship to find refuge and rest in its wheel-house.”
“He noted in his memoirs that ‘The ship was commanded by a midshipman who looked about twelve, assisted by a boatswain aged eighty.'”

The Queen shared that his father including the comrades of the British Expeditionary Force and the allied armies would be grateful today as they were “fortunate” enough to find “safe passage,” in her new personal note.

It is important to note that Queen Camilla’s message was issued to the public at a key event as her husband the monarch returned to his routine medical treatment amid a cancer battle.
