Meghan Markle opens up on health with Archie and Lilibet suffering from illnesses

Meghan Markle has opened up on illnesses that Archie and Lilibet recently suffered from in a new episode of her podcast.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, made the candid remarks during a chat with Reshma Saujani during episode two of ‘Confessions of a Female Founder’, released on Tuesday.
The revelation came as part of a conversation focusing on women creating a work and motherhood balance.
Meghan told the non-profit business founder that Archie and Lilibet were currently suffering from RSV and Influenza A, although the duchess does not reveal which child has which virus.
Meghan said: “My Kids, for example, right now one has RSV and the other has Influenza A.”
Speaking more on her family life, the duchess continued: “I hear little pitta patta of feet upstairs when they get home from school.
Cough syrup all night and rubbing their back, and you still have to find a way to show up for both.”
Both illnesses are virally spread and can cause a number of symptoms in patients
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common cause of coughs and colds.
RSV infections usually get better by themselves, but can sometimes be serious for babies and older adults, according to NHS advice.
The advice also describes the virus as “very common” and states that almost all children get it at least once before they’re 2 years old.
Influenza A is a type of flu that causes similar symptoms to RSV.
The virus mainly affects the nose, throat and lungs.
The podcast was pre-recorded, so it is likely the prince and princess have fully recovered.
Meghan met Reshma in 2018 when the royal was pregnant with Prince Archie and a working member of the Royal Family.
Throughout the podcast, the pair speak in depth about resigning workplaces for women and the choice to put your health before work.
