Princess Charlotte forces her father Prince William to back out of change that didn’t suit…

Prince William reveals how his nine-year-old daughter cried the first time he debuted his new beard as Princess Charlotte forced the future King of England to shave, before he opted for a second go.
Traditionally clean-shaven, the new look appearance for the Prince of Wales caught fans and his family by surprise, although it offers a nice contrast to his receding hairline genetics inherited from Prince Philip and King Charles III.
But not everyone was a fan, and his middle child was his most vocal critic, turning on the waterworks when she saw her father’s new approach to his look and pushing the royal to get rid of it.
“Well, Charlotte didn’t like it the first time,” William said, as per People, in November 2024. “I got floods of tears, the first one I got tears.
“So, I had to shave it off. Then I grew it back. I thought, hang on a second, and I convinced her it was going to be okay.”
It’s unclear what the rest of the family made of it, particularly whether his wife, Kate Middleton, approved but the beard is back once again; and it appears as though it’s around to stay.
Prince William changes up his looks
The Duke of Cambridge has tried to revamp his wardrobe in recent times too. The 42-year-old ditched the sharp formal suits he’s used to as he opts for a more casual look, symbolising the Royal Family’s bid to become more relatable.
Traditionally very well-dressed, punctual and reserved, reports suggest Charles, William and Middleton want to show more of the family to the world and want to use their political influence as a force for good.
That’s a notable contrast to Queen Elizabeth II’s reign, when she would grill relatives and chew them out if they brought shame and disrespect to the household as Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, found out after partying nude in Las Vegas.
