Heartbroken: Mike Tindall ‘Snubbed’ Princess Anne’s brutal request before change of…

Princess Anne made a brutal request to Mike Tindall before his marriage, which he initially disregarded but later revisited.

Rugby legend Mike Tindall tied the knot with Zara Tindall in July 2011 at Edinburgh’s Canongate Kirk, followed by a grand reception at Holyroodhouse Palace featuring a vodka fountain, according to the Express.

Accepted into the Royal Family, Tindall faced a request from his mother-in-law, Princess Anne, which had arisen due to rugby-related injuries.

Known for his rugby playing prowess, the former Bath and Gloucester player suffered multiple nose injuries over his career, which caught the Princess Royal’s attention, as detailed by The List.

Mike disclosed on the set of A League of Their Own that Princess Anne had suggested nose surgery before he walked down the aisle. Initially resisting her advice, Tindall, who’s broken his nose at least eight times, reportedly declined the proposal.

In a 2022 episode of Loose Women, Tindall shared that he eventually opted for surgery, although he suggested that the procedure wasn’t cosmetic during a conversation with Vernon Kay, who observed: “Your nose was literally underneath your left eye from rugby. It wasn’t just for looks you had it done?”

The Rugby World Cup champion said: “No, I was stopping breathing during sleep, so it needed to be done. I also had my teeth done but that was because they were crossed and looked like a bag of chips.”

He got his nose sorted out in time for the Royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which took place at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle in May 2018, as reported by People magazine.

The ex-I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contestant earned 75 caps for England over his impressive 17-year rugby career, leading the national team as captain in 2011 and notching up 14 tries; his last game for England was also in 2011, according to Rugby Pass.

After leaving Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Wakefield, he began his professional rugby journey with Bath, racking up 108 games, before moving to Gloucester to add another 181 games to his tally.
