Kate and William set to face-off in just days as royal couple in conflicting roles

Princess Kate and Prince William will attend the Wales vs England Six Nations Match at the Principality Stadium this Saturday.

The royal couple will be supporting different teams in their official capacities
Prince William serves as Patron of the Welsh Rugby Union, while Princess Catherine is Patron of the (English) Rugby Football Union.

Before the match, the royal couple will meet injured players supported by the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust.

This meeting will take place in the Sir Tasker Watkins Suite, a dedicated space at the Stadium for injured players and their families.

The Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust was established in 1972 with various education, social and sporting objectives.

Prince William serves as Patron of this important organisation.
While the charity has multiple aims, its principal focus has always been supporting players and their families who have been severely injured whilst playing rugby in Wales.

The charity ensures all injured players are invited to every Wales home game.

Each year, the WRU hosts a special “Family Day” event.
This annual gathering allows injured players to enjoy quality time together with their families.

It comes as the Prince of Wales was at Villa Park on Wednesday evening to see the Birmingham-based football club comfortably defeat Belgian side Club Brugge to reach the last eight of the competition.

As William was leaving the stadium he appeared to confirm to journalists that he would be heading to Paris for the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final.

The Prince of Wales said: “See you in Paris” as he walked to his car.

Prince William travelled to Monaco earlier this season to watch Villa take on AS Monaco earlier in this season’s Champions League.

The royal is also expected to attend the second leg of the quarter-final against PSG which will be hosted at Villa Park.
