Prince William has addressed his “anger” at Aston Villa’s game performance in a new video.
Earlier this week, the Prince of Wales and his wife, Princess Kate, travelled to Pontypridd in south Wales to perform joint engagements.
Prince William, 42, met the mother of one of the hosts of The Villa Pride Down Under Podcast – dedicated to Villa fans in Australia.
The host, Ryno, was originally from Pontypridd but now lives Down Under.
Ryno’s mother asked Prince William about his thoughts on Villa’s performance from the match the evening before, where they lost 4-1 to Crystal Palace.
The father of three admitted: “I had to go and listen to the podcast last night to get my anger out, reading the comments.
Princess Kate, who stood beside William, laughed as she quipped: “I had all this going on at home, honestly!”
William continued: “It was disappointing. I hope Friday goes better.
Luckily for the future King, Aston Villa beat Cardiff City 2-0 during the 5th Round of the FA Cup on Friday evening.
The podcast weote on social media: “Last week, Prince William and Princess Kate visited Ryno’s hometown, Pontypridd.
“We’re sure the Prince wasn’t expecting to encounter Ryno’s mum in the Valleys, adorning a Villa shirt and plugging the @PrideDownUnder pod.
fan replied: “That’s amazing, guys. By Royal Appointment now! UTV (Up The Villa).”
Another simply commented with three red heart emojis under the post.
