Carole Middleton leaves Michael in ‘despair’ as she part…

Carole Middleton celebrated her milestone 70th birthday in the Caribbean, joined by the Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children, sources have claimed.

The Middleton clan, including Pippa and James with their respective families, gathered for the special occasion last month.

The trip was thought to have provided a welcome respite for Kate following her cancer treatment over the past year.
The Caribbean has long been a sanctuary for the Middleton family, offering the privacy they cherish.

Beauty aside, its appeal lies in its fiercely guarded privacy,” a source told the Mail.

The Caribbean has been Kate and William’s retreat since the early days of their relationship.

A code of secrecy among its elite community ensures details rarely leak out about visitors.
In the Caribbean, the Middletons are said to feel as if they have “found their tribe.

In Berkshire, Carole Middleton is known as the practical grandmother who fills Kate and William’s freezer with children’s favourites and helps at daughter Pippa’s petting zoo.

In the Caribbean, however, she transforms into what locals call an “island legend.”
“Carole really lets her hair down and happily chats to anyone she meets on the island,” a source revealed.

She reportedly enjoys socialising with friends, including John Brinkley, who ran a Chelsea wine bar.

Carole is also a regular at Basil’s Bar and never misses the weekly Cotton House party.
“She loves a few bottles of cold white wine and leaves Michael despairing of her antics sometimes,” an island source added.

The trip is thought to have been restorative for Kate, who reportedly kept a low profile throughout the stay.

Unlike previous visits when the Middletons might have been seen at Basil’s Bar partying with Sir Mick Jagger, this celebration was more subdued.

The source explained: “Carole is Queen of the island. She really lets loose, and she’s a hoot. But these days, she tends to do most of her socialising before Kate and the family arrive.

“Once they get there, Carole goes to ground and prefers to have private catered dinners at the villa.”

Carole has since returned to her Bucklebury routine, serving teas and straightening displays, according to the publication.
