Harry ‘struggling to accept’ Meghan’s decision on Archie and Lilibet

Prince Harry is “struggling to accept” Meghan Markle’s decision to release pictures of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet after featuring their daughter in promotional material for lifestyle brand ‘As Ever’, according to a royal commentator.

The website, launched just last week, displays an image of Meghan running barefoot through a field with her young daughter, though Lilibet’s face is not shown.

The move marks a significant departure from Prince Harry’s well-documented stance on protecting his children from public attention.

Royal expert Duncan Larcombe suggested that the image likely “shocked” many royal watchers, given Harry’s previous views on publicity.

According to Larcombe, Meghan’s approach of “tentatively” sharing their children marks a significant shift.

“There’s probably some truth in the idea that Harry and Meghan perhaps don’t see eye-to-eye on this,” Larcombe told OK! magazine.

He warned that once started, public exposure becomes irreversible: “It’s a tap they won’t get to turn off.”

The expert highlighted how royal status differs from celebrity: “Being a royal isn’t like being a celebrity – you’re stuck with it. I think Harry struggles to accept his kids are, to some extent, public property because they’re royal.”

Larcombe noted that while some royals, like Princess Anne, chose not to use titles for their children, they remained public figures as it’s “an almost impossible task to keep them out of the limelight forever.”

In Meghan’s latest announcement, the Duchess revealed her business will focus on food, gardening and entertaining, all of which represent what she “cherishes”.
Prince Harry, 40, has previously spoken about his intense fears surrounding his children’s exposure to public life.

In a conversation with Dax Shepard on the Armchair Expert podcast, the Duke of Sussex expressed his determination to “break the cycle” of suffering that comes with royal life.

Reflecting on his own experience within the Royal Family, Harry explained: “You inherit every element of it without choice.
