King Charles set to treat Queen Camilla after heartbreak

King Charles is planning to adopt a new dog for Queen Camilla following the heartbreaking loss of her beloved Jack Russell terrier Beth in November.

The Queen’s cherished rescue dog had to be put down after developing an untreatable tumour.

Beth had been adopted from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in South London in 2011, with fellow Jack Russell Bluebell joining the royal household the following year.

A royal spokesman said at the time: “A sad farewell to Beth, The Queen’s much-loved companion from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home who brought such joy, whether on walkies, helping on official duties, or curled up by the fire

The King and Queen are now considering returning to the famous rescue charity to welcome a new four-legged friend to the family.

Beth seemed to hold a special place in the royal household, even being immortalised on Queen Camilla’s coronation gown through goldwork motifs alongside fellow Jack Russell Bluebell.

The Royal Family shared several candid pictures of the King and Queen with Beth, highlighting her importance to the couple.

Beth also participated in official duties, including a memorable appearance in 2022 when she joined Queen Camilla at Battersea’s Brands Hatch Centre in Kent.
