Carole Middleton birthday gift leaves Princess Kate caught off-guard

A birthday gift for Carole Middleton left Princess Kate caught off-guard today.
The Princess of Wales’s mother will celebrate her 70th birthday on Friday, likely surrounded by her husband, Michael Middleton, and their three children, Kate, Pippa and James.

Kate, 43, travelled to Wales today where she visited Corgi, a textiles manufacturer focused on the production of socks and knitwear.

Towards the end of her visit, the Princess was presented with gifts by the staff, including a birthday present for Carole.

Kate was given a cream, zip-up cashmere cardigan for herself, while Carole received a navy cashmere wrap, as reported by Hello!.

She said: “That’s so sweet of you, thank you, I wasn’t expecting it.”

Birthday celebrations have always been special for the Middleton family. Carole previously told Sheer Luxe: “Party Pieces has literally grown alongside my family, and I’m very proud of that.”

Kate, Pippa and James took an active role in the family business from a young age, according to Carole.

She She explained: “Pippa wrote our ‘Party Times’ blog, James did the cakes when he first left school, and Catherine developed our first birthday and baby category.”

The family will likely celebrate at Carole and Michael’s home since 2012, Bucklebury Manor.

All three of Carole’s children live in County Berkshire.
Kate lives with Prince William at Adelaide Cottage on the Royal Windsor Estate.

Pippa and her husband James Matthews live in Barton Court, located in Kintbury.

Meanwhile, James Middleton and his wife, Alizee Thevenet, are reported to live in a £1.45million family home in Berkshire.

Carole’s 60th birthday was celebrated in Mustique, and even featured a jazz band performance.

Her 64th birthday in 2019 saw the Middletons gather at Pippa’s former home in Chelsea.
