Princess Kate and Prince William have showed a sign of subtle support after Prince Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s announced the birth of their new baby girl.
The Prince and Princess of Wales liked an Instagram post on the Royal Family’s official page, congratulating the couple on the arrival of Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi.
Beatrice’s gave birth to her second daughter on January 22, 2025, just minutes before 1pm.
Edoardo announced the arrival of the new royal in an emotional message to Princess Beatrice.
The Royal Family’s official account reposted the intimate photo, sparking the Prince and Princess of Wales to like the post.
The caption read: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi, born on Wednesday, 22nd January, at 12:57pm.
“The baby was born weighing 4 pounds and 5 ounces.
“The King and Queen, and other members of The Royal Family have all been informed and are delighted with the news.
They added: “Princess Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care.
“Her Royal Highness and her daughter are healthy and doing well, and the family are enjoying spending time together with Athena’s older siblings, Wolfie and Sienna.”
The Prince and Princess of Wales do not follow Edoardo on the social media platform and have yet to like to original post.
Among those who also showed their support for the couple were Princess Eugenie, Sarah Ferguson and James Middleton.
James Middleton, the younger brother of Princess Kate, was one of the first extended members of the Royal Family to comment on the post. He wrote: “Congratulations,” accompanied by a pink heart emoji.
Both Sarah Ferguson and Princess Eugenie reposted the photo onto their stories, sharing their feelings with the couple.
Beatrice and Edoardo already share a three-year-old daughter named Sienna Elizabeth
In addition, Edoardo has an eight-year-old son named Wolfie from his previous relationship with Dara Huang, an American architect.
