David Beckham ‘got revenge’ on Prince Harry over Meghan Markle’s…

When Meghan Markle exchanged vows with Prince Harry in a star-studded royal wedding, the guest list shone with American celebrities such as Serena Williams, George Clooney, and Oprah Winfrey. Also among the esteemed guests were British power couple David Beckham, the football legend, and his fashion designer wife Victoria Beckham.

However, a new scandalous book claims that Prince Harry’s long-standing friendship with David Beckham crumbled after what was seen as a “snub” by the Sussexes. According to the author, Beckham then sought “revenge” against his former friend.

In “House of Beckham,” penned by royal commentator Tom Bower, it is alleged that the soccer icon felt snubbed by Prince Harry following their attendance at the Duke’s lavish Windsor wedding. The book suggests that during the 2018 Invictus Games in Sydney, just five months later, a solitary Beckham was left wondering why he was kept at a distance from Prince Harry on the day of their planned meeting.

As reported by The Independent, Bower speculates that Prince Harry had instructed Beckham to keep his distance, supposedly at the behest of Meghan, Harry’s wife. The author further asserts that any photos of the pair were strictly off-limits.

David Beckham was reportedly perplexed when Prince Harry declined to meet him, a decision later revealed to have been made by Meghan Markle.

“Photographs of the two together were forbidden. David Beckham was said to be puzzled as to why Harry wouldn’t meet him. The exclusion order, it later transpired, was issued by Meghan. She did not want any competition in the media from Beckham, and especially not from his wife Victoria,” the author claimed, reports the Express US.

However, Beckham seemed to hold onto this perceived snub, opting out of spending time with Harry at the Sydney games. Years later, when an opportunity arose to support Prince William, Harry’s brother, Beckham didn’t hesitate—especially amid the tension between the siblings after the Sussexes’ move to the US.

During the 2022 World Cup, Prince William invited David Beckham to Boston for the Earthshot Prize. Beckham traveled nearly 8,000 miles to back the launch of the awards, which focus on finding solutions to the climate crisis.

The author saw this as “Beckham getting his revenge for the Sydney snub.”
